Our 2015-16 Charity is . . . The Memphis Crisis CenterThe Memphis Crisis Center serves as a 24/7 lifeline to anyone in emotional distress.

They provide help, build hope, and save lives every day.Their trained volunteers –use a combination of empathic listening, collaborative problem solving, and crisis intervention— to assist callers with immediate problems and link them to the long-term resources they need to cope and overcome.
They care 24/7.Last year they received over 20,500 crisis calls, including nearly 1,200 suicide calls.  93% of these calls ended with a safety plan engaged or emergency help dispatched. This represents lives saved and hope restored. Along with Their main Crisis Line, they also administer the Call4Kids Hotline, the HIV Care Line, the NEW Elder Lifeline, partner on the SeniorBSafe Line, and serve as the local affiliate of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, the National Veterans Hotline, and the National Spanish Hotline. They also provide after-hours answering services for the Rape Crisis Center and the Family Safety Center, which deals with Domestic Violence. All of Their services are free, safe, and confidential. They actively engage the community in its own safety net, through volunteer recruitment, training, and service provision. Over the past few years
They have seen call volume continue to grow.

14,000 in 2011
17,500 in 2012

19,000 in 2013

20,500 in 2014.

This year they are on track for nearly 23,000 crisis calls.

We are excited to announce the theme for next year's Ball!

The event is a black tie or costume relative to theme of ball or mardi gras related. This coming year's theme is:

An Evening On Mount Olympus
Don your finest formal toga, ascend to the highest heights of Ancient Greece, and party with the gods and goddesses!

King Pegasus XII James Cox and Queen Pegasus XII Imagene Azengraber invite you to Mardi Gras Ball XIII - An Evening on Mount Olympus. The night promises music blessed by Apollo himself, fanciful costumes that would make the Muses jealous, and carousing inspired by the god of wine and festivals, Dionysus.

Doors open for a cocktail reception at 7:00 p.m. The show, hosted by WMC-TV's Kym Clark, starts promptly at 8:00 p.m.

Individual tickets are $55. Tables of 8 are available for the early-bird price of $330, but only until November 15. After that, tables are $400. Tickets can be purchased online at

All proceeds from Mardi Gras Ball XIII benefit Mystic Krewe of Pegasus' 2015-2016 charity, Memphis Crisis Center.

Dress code is festive formal or themed costume.

The ball is our largest fundraiser of the year. Our Ball is filled with talent, back pieces feathers and fun. At the end of the Ball the future King XIII and Queen XIII will be crowned.
